cahro International Healthcare Programme

including NVQ 3 HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE

Introduction

The cahro healthcare programme, including NVQ3 Health and Social Care, is an intensive programme suitable for Nurses and Carers who are newly qualified or of limited professional experience. The programme is for one year and covers the many varied aspects of health requirements in the UK. This includes Common Induction Standards (6 mandatory standards for all UK health workers), all compliance training in the form of over 10 underpinning courses (Infection Control, First Aid, Moving and Handling etc) as well as NVQ3 Health and Social Care (Adults).

What is an NVQ?

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are competence-based and work-related qualifications. That means that relevant knowledge and skills are delivered and assessed predominately in the workplace with under-pinning knowledge taught in the classroom.

NVQs are based on national standards. The standards say what a competent person in this job can be expected to do. Furthermore, NVQs are offered at different levels from the levels 1 to 5. This allows learners to study at a level which is appropriate to their job role and level of experience.

NVQ in Health and Social Care Level

The NVQ in Health and Social Care (HSC) Level 3 is designed for nurses / carers who deliver physical, emotional or enabling care to clients who have a medium to high dependency. Level 3 will be suitable for you if you use your knowledge and skills to carry out a broad range of complex work activities.

What’s special for international learners?
